A Spratling Silver necklace is a study in the relationship between form and material. William Spratling understood that jewelry worn close to the body must earn that proximity, and every necklace in this collection does.

The range extends from 30 to 90 centimeters, offering everything from a close-fitting collar to a dramatic long chain. Design families include mosaic-link necklaces with interlocking geometric panels, corkscrew-twist chains that play with light and shadow, substantial thick-link constructions that make their presence known, and delicate ball chains for a more minimal sensibility. Several designs incorporate natural stones — amethyst and onyx — whose deep colors create a striking counterpoint to the silver. A selection features wood accents, a nod to Spratling's lifelong interest in combining noble materials.

All necklaces are handcrafted to order in Taxco and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Production takes approximately 45 days — a reflection of the care that goes into each piece, not a limitation.
